Thatcher’s Mulch is a natural pelleted straw mulch designed to protect your soil and plants all year round - helping retain moisture, suppress weeds and protect roots from temperature extremes.
Made from organic straw sourced from local farms, the pellets expand by up to 3× their size when watered, creating a soft, golden layer across the soil.
☀️ In summer, it helps lock in moisture, reduce evaporation and suppress weeds by blocking light.
❄️ In winter, it provides an insulating layer that helps protect roots and plants from frost and temperature changes.
As it naturally breaks down, it adds organic matter back into the soil. Or, at the end of the season, simply add it to your compost.

How do I use it?
How do I use it?
- Remove all debris and weeds
- Apply pellets to the soil surface around plants
- Water well and leave for 10-15 minuets to expand the mulch
- Spread evenly to create a complete cover of about 2-3cm deep
Tip: Apply after planting and watering to lock moisture into the soil and cut down on weeding.
